Welcome to Threads Of Hope
Threads Of Hope is a non profit organization made by high school students in Austin, TX who are passionate about crochet. We create crochet plushies/stuffed animals and donate them to oncology patients at Dell Children's Medical Center to spread kindness and hope while they go through their treatment.

Our Mission
Threads Of Hope was founded by a group of high school students in Austin who wanted to make a difference in the lives of oncology patients. Our mission is to spread kindness and hope through the art of crochet. We believe that a small gesture of gifting a handmade plushie can bring smiles and comfort to those going through difficult times.

Our Initiative
At Threads Of Hope, we are dedicated to creating a positive impact in our community. Through our initiatives, we aim to bring joy and comfort to oncology patients and their families. Every plushie we create is made with high quality materials and filled with love and compassion, symbolizing the support we extend to those in need.

About the Creator:
Sophia Cortes
My name is Alexa Young
I began crocheting as a freshman in high school, starting with simple hearts and quickly falling in love with the craft. Over the years, I've grown from stitching hats and sweaters to creating handmade plushies--each one a symbol of care and comfort. Now a senior and president of my school's Fiber Arts Club, I've learned that fiber arts is not only as a creative outlet but also as a way to give back. Every smile sparked by a plushie reminded me of why I started: to bring warmth, hope, and joy to others.
